Peer Review Process

Our rigorous double-blind review methodology

Review Model

IJHSB employs a double-blind peer review process, ensuring anonymity for both authors and reviewers. All manuscripts undergo rigorous scientific scrutiny by a minimum of two independent subject-matter experts before an editorial decision is made.

1
Initial Submission

Authors submit manuscripts through our online submission system. All submissions are acknowledged within 48 hours.

2
Editorial Pre-Screening

The Editor-in-Chief or a section editor performs an initial assessment for scope, originality, and basic scientific standards (3–5 business days).

3
Peer Review Assignment

Manuscripts passing pre-screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.

4
Expert Review (21–30 Days)

Reviewers evaluate the manuscript for scientific rigor, novelty, statistical validity, clarity, and ethical compliance.

5
Editorial Decision

Based on reviewer feedback, the editor issues one of: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject, with detailed comments.

6
Revision & Final Decision

Authors respond to reviewer comments; revised manuscripts may be re-reviewed or accepted directly by the editor.

7
Production & Publication

Accepted manuscripts enter copyediting, typesetting, and are published online with a DOI within 5–7 business days.

Target Timelines

  • First decision: Within 30 days of submission
  • Revision turnaround: 14–21 days after revision receipt
  • Total time to publication: 45–70 days average
